She is in her own little world but is in a fantastic care home and is happy in her own way. This is all I can hope for. Her sister has now taken me to complete breaking point with severe behavioural and mental health problems. Her epilepsy is under control on clobazam and Carbamazepine her learning difficulties have never been as severe as her sisters but she has behaviour issues and was diagnosed with autism the same as her sister. She has non epileptic seizures the doctors did not realise this and nearly ended up with being taken to intensive care before it was found out. Her behaviour has reached an all time low. She will shout and swear at people in the steet. And was arrested and strip searched by police and is now on police bail after attacking paramedics after having a non epileptic seizure, Hitting her head became agitated. Mental health won t admit her to hospital like she desperately needs despite her crying and screaming for help and was removed from hospital by security after taking her epilepsy medication off her and not giving it back.No mental health doctor will listen and I don't know what to do. She also has anxiety, depression and borderline personality disorder.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07755663606468589379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2606143487226169171.post-75603644733712126312018-02-23T16:02:02.739-08:002018-02-23T16:02:02.739-08:00I’ve been searching for some decent stuff on the s...I’ve been searching for some decent stuff on the subject and haven't had any luck up until this point, You just got a new biggest fan!..
see
naveedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07158032062765868232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2606143487226169171.post-39641008382391408042016-07-14T14:34:34.704-07:002016-07-14T14:34:34.704-07:00Very nicely written from the heart! My son was diagnosed with epilepsy 6 months ago after he experienced a 90 min status episode and hospital stay that led to a eeg. 72 hr veeg 2 weeks ago revealed eses/csws >90%. Whole new ball game and a lot to accept. He had a totally normal birth and development until 5yo when he had his first seizure. Yes, epilepsy can and does happen to anyone, not just those with prior brain damage.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00985633980759028502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2606143487226169171.post-29037169290626381252016-07-14T14:19:42.108-07:002016-07-14T14:19:42.108-07:00Hugs!! We are still trying to determine the cause and best medicine to help control his seizures. We are on his 3rd medication in 12 months and hoping that this is 'the one' but it also has terrifying side effects of liver and pancreas damage! It's so hard to know/decide if it's worth the risk of organ damage to stop the seizures - or is that just going to add another issue to try and deal with? But, the reward! The redemption of ourselves through them and through Christ... It's so worth it.

I often wish I could put the experience into better words, so others would actually follow the path, or walk the path along with us, without seeing it as a burden.

Alyssa is total light, to all around her!
